A quick look at some of the current room layouts and contents.
The recently restocked 'Front Room' with our newly acquired C1860 Victorian buffet/sideboard a bespoke item made for a lady who insisted on burr walnut veneered drawers in the sideboard instead of the usual cupboards - a rare piece - £880.00.
Our Art Deco display stand has been replenished with some of the pieces we acquired from the East Sussex Estate - on the top shelf is a bronze green patinated Egyptian style cat figure C1930 (14" tall) £380.00, a pair of C1930 Japanese cloissonne vases (12" tall) £400.00, a Bretby Jewel Ware Art Nouveau Vase (8" tall) £140.00, and a Watcombe Pottery, Torquay vase C1930 (8 1/2" tall) £75.00. On the other shelves are a Beswick Nut Bowl 1935 desicned by Symcox £50.00, A part set of Art Deco Nancy green, silver & clear cocktail glases £80.00 and a pair of pottery egg holders in the form of chickens - one Portmeirion £35.00 and the other £28.00.
Our gentleman's Room showing the recently acquired Arts & Craft Oak and Pitch Pine chest, with the 1/24 scale Vosper Motor Torpedo Boat - it's a pond boat with an electric motor and a glimpse of our WilliamIV library chair.
Also in the Gentleman's Room our hand made Thames Barge by William Mowl standing on a Victorian Chest of drawers.
Our recently acquired 18th Century oak drop leaf table (C1730) with 4 Rosewood dining chairs (C1820) standing on a Mid 20th Century Koliai carpet. Behind is a C1910 Standard Lamp which has a circular shelf and a turned column - all of solid mahogany and PAT tested.
In the same room a large Low Countries Huguenot tapestry (C1860) with full provenance labels on the back.
