I purchased a Stratton "sailor" compact from you yesterday with SS Pyrrhus engraved on it. After some research it appears that it was probably referring to the Blue Funnel fleet "Pyrrhus" built in 1949
We thought that it could have been a memorial piece for those killed on the Ocean Steamship co in 1940 But all those lost were Philippino Just thought that you would like to know this (Still love the compact though)

    Dear Sir
Last week we called at your shop basically to just have a look around, and want to thank you for your welcome and friendliness and finally the cup of coffee you freely gave us. The welcome was in
stark contrast to that received in many shops and we will certainly be calling in to see you again when we are next in the area.
Also we purchased from you a small Chinese cabinet which we have spent time on cleaning up all week and it looks beautiful in our Chinese setting.
So once again thank you for the coffee and the welcome.
    Vest wishes
    Michael and Mandy Fentem
